For wedding favors that are both practical and classy, you may wish to consider bath and soap wedding favors. To make sure your favors are practical, make sure you pick your scents carefully so they will delight all.
One of the main concerns for bridal couples when it comes to wedding favors is their suitability to each and every guest. The knowledge that photo frames and candles are not appreciated by everyone is always a worry for couples. There is nothing more disconcerting than to see the look of disinterest on your guests’ faces when they see what they will be going home with after your wedding.
If practicality is the priority, then bath wedding favors may just be the solution. These are classy and useful at the same time. When choosing this type of favors, it is best to be a little more luxurious in your tastes, as in do not go for the conventional shower or bath foams that can be bought at the nearby supermarket.
Instead, go for scents and flavors that are slightly uncommon, so you give the impression that your bath wedding favor is a rare deal. On the other hand, do not choose a scent so uncommon it is difficult to appreciate so your bath foam will not sit on the stand for months untouched.
Some bath wedding favors you can think of giving out are bath gift sets. Consisting bath gel or bubble bath, soap dish (which holds the bath gel bottle) and small body sponge, this will be a delightful gift even for the fussiest guest. You can have slightly floral or musky scents so your gift will suit both the men and ladies.
Other bath wedding favors are bath oils, which may be a little more costly. Bath oils last a lot longer than gels or bubble baths, as only a drop or two will be enough. In fact, these oils can last for years, which mean your gift will be one long reminder to your guests! Bath salts are also great as favors, although not everyone will know how to use them. Bath wedding favors also come in the form of sachets - instead of oils or liquid, these sachets are dropped into the bath to release a delightful scent for your guests to wallow in.
Included in these types of wedding favors also are liquid or gel body scrubs, which today are just a popular as the scented shower foams. Poured into pretty little bottles, body scrubs are just as useful as shower foams and in today’s world, are just as much in demand by both men and women. Again, make sure you pick scented body scrubs that can be used by both sexes. Otherwise, have blue and pink (or red) bottles and inform your male and female guests to pick the appropriate bottle on their way out. Before you do this, though, make sure you do the correct headcount so you are not short on either type!
Soap wedding favors are also practical gifts. These can be extremely varied in shapes, sizes, scents and uses - most scented soaps today are used more as decorative or deodorizing items. Your soaps can be in any color too - white being the most common - but pink, blue, red, brown, beige or green soaps have all made their debuts. Just pick the color that best suits your wedding theme, color, season and location and have them made into specific shapes accordingly.
The most common shapes for soap wedding favors are, naturally, heart shapes. These can be solid, plump heart soaps which are given in sets of twos or single hearts which are engraved. However, other shapes are also popular. Weddings in winter, for example, can have soaps in the shapes of cones, snowflakes or Christmas trees while fall weddings can have them shaped like maple leaves and even colored as such.
Soaps are very much like candles - both are pliable enough to be molded into any shape, making them flexible enough to double up their uses. For soap wedding favors that are meant to be decorative items like wardrobe and air fresheners, have your soaps shaped into pretty things like seashells, rings or flowers like daisies and sunflowers, or cutesy little items like lips or smiley faces. These will be pretty enough to put on display anywhere and your guests will love having them to look at.
Soap wedding favors can be fashioned to not just be the kind to put into a soap dish or set on a tabletop. Some very creative soap favors can also be hung or stuck on walls. You will find these shaped in various designs like dresses, buildings and even in the form of the bride and groom. Indeed, soap wedding favors are a lot more imaginative than one gives them credit to be!
